Plickers- a great interactive way to give assessments without having many technology devices. After putting in the questions, students get a bar code card that teachers can scan with an app on their phone.
Google Tools (GoogleDocs, Sheets, Slides)- This is a excellent way to have students collaborate on assignments such as a literature circle. Students can create a GoogleDoc and share it with their group to contribute ideas.
Storybird- A website that students can use to publish their own books
RAZ Kids- An extension of Reading A-Z, this website has books that are leveled. Students can choose to listen to the book, read it themselves, and answer comprehension questions at the end. There are many features for students to self-monitor their comprehension such as marking unknown words in the text or viewing vocabulary cards.
NewsELA- This website has many news articles that can be changed to different levels. While the articles can be printed, teachers can have students pull the articles up on a device to read. There is a writing option for students to write about the article and send their response to their teacher
Tackk- This website can be used to create digital posters for students to display their learning. It is interactive, and links can be embedded into the posters.
